It is the go to study destination for those who aspire to be an automobile engineer. The World’s biggest automobile manufacturers like Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW and Porsche, all started out of Germany. Since October 2014, all state and government universities have stopped charging national and international students tuition fees for undergraduate programs. However, the other expenses such as food, transportation and accommodation have to be incurred by the students. German Universities are internationally recognized for their quality of education and varied number of courses.
The Federal Government endorses partnership programs with a list of international universities. Independent cultural organizations of Germany encourage students by awarding them with scholarships, funds, reimbursement of travel costs among many other types of financial help. Many universities require students to possess basic knowledge of German language for enrollment. It has a national regulatory and quality agency for higher education – the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).
